Soc-Med: Social Media
With a Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing, Kaz somehow ended up as a HR Manager for Tesco. It was midway through his Tesco career that Kaz was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and was eventually retired on ill-health grounds in 2011.
Keen to do something with his time and keep active and focussed, Kaz set up an organisation called Positive About MS. At the time the best way to market this organisation without investment was to use social media. So in 2010 he put his Marketing qualifications to use and used social media to launch the organisation. Positive About MS now boasts a community of approx. 20,000!
Over the years Kaz has helped a number of businesses and orgs with their social media. Then in 2015, he realised his new and enhanced skill-set of social media marketing had become quite a useful commodity. As a result, Kaz created and founded, Soc-Med: Social Media. A social media company offering training and management, whose client list includes the BBC.
Kaz is also talking about "What is Social Media and how to use it".

In this seminar Kaz will talk through the journey of Positive About MS; about how he took it from an idea to help one person, which became an organisation with an international following of 20,000. It has led to appearances on the BBC, keynote speeches and to be considered significant stakeholder in the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) community
