Adam Hartrick, Partner and Head of Hempsons Advisory Teams in the North, has over 20 years experience representing clients in the health and social care sector. He represents both providers and regulators in the social care sector, in particular in relation to enforcement action by CQC, including representing clients in First - tier tribunal proceedings.
Alongside his regulatory expertise Adam has a particular interest in issues relating to mental health, capacity and consent and has represented clients in the Court of Protection and the High Court both in relation to medical treatment and welfare issues, concerning adults and children.
He is also frequently in the Coroner’s court representing both health and social care providers where a death of a service user is subject to an Inquest process.

This session will provide valuable information to owners and managers as to how to get the most out of the Factual Accuracy process, the type and range of matters that can be raised and options available to a provider in receipt of an unsatisfactory CQC report, including timely use of the separate CQC complaints process, securing swift re-inspections and how to appeal.
