Encourage Activity, improving wellbeing through meaningful activities in care homes!

We promote social interaction and engagement, catering for a wide range of individuals, including those living with dementia, within care and residential settings. We achieve this through our animal assisted therapy with our variety of cuddle loving pets, as well as the delivery of Person Centred physical activities and accredited training for staff. We also have equipment available and supportive aftercare so you can deliver your own sessions independently and confidently!

Encourage Activity facilitate regular activities to stimulate physical, social and psychological wellbeing. Our bespoke, accredited training courses teach care staff how to provide fun and engaging activities to the people they look after, in a safe and friendly environment.

During our 1-day course, we will look at the importance of exercise and activity when caring for adults and the impact it can have on their mindset and health.
Developed in conjunction with Age UK and the Open College Network, our staff training services enable care homes to be able to better support their residents and encourage movement with confidence.

Encourage Animal Therapy is about improving people`s emotional, social and physical wellbeing, no matter what their individual circumstances. Our range of pets are looked after by ourselves and are full of love and character. Our animal assisted therapy sessions have triggered memories and conversation, and reduced feelings of depression, especially for individuals living with dementia. Our animals are happy to do room to room visits and be groomed by residents, sometimes residing in a state of bliss resulting in a nap!
